I certainly got a little phone happy this weekend with taking photos and videos of the step by step process of how I put together some of the elements of Tyler’s party!

Check out #tyler30 on instagram for more! :) I’ll probably post the whole party next week…
These look awesome! I’m heading over to IG right now to catch the rest. Amazing job!
Hey!
Can you give me a brief run down on how you did this? I would like to do something similar for my daughters first birthday – I am doing a photo booth and want something similar like this for the back-drop. Just give me the cliff notes and I will figure out the rest!
THANKS!!!
Lindsay
Hi Lindsay! Do you mean the cake or the back drop? The cake is a lemon cake split into 5 layers, and I used different colored frosting and chocolate ganache as filling; the backdrop is a little more complicated; It is made from 4 white foam core boards, and then I mod podged tissue paper onto it. Then I used regular sewing pins to hold on GIANT sequins as seen in this Oh happy day post: http://ohhappyday.com/2011/12/sequin-photobooth-diy/
Any more questions and I’d be happy to answer! :)
I am sorry I was unclear! I was talking about the backdrop so thank you! I wasn’t sure if that was foam core or not! I was concerned that the pins wouldn’t stay in for some reason!
Thank you for your constant inspiration! I always look forward to your posts!
