Before + After; Front Door

Before + After; Front Door

Today I’m sharing a quick before + after with you! I never really thought about painting doors until recently (I think I saw something on YHL). We were having a very tough time choosing paint colors for our living room, as you can see by our many swatches in the before photo (I still don’t love it, but it is better than seeing the scuff  marks all over the walls–more on the wall color in another post), and this yellow was one of the colors we loved but decided not to go with. Then it struck me! Paint the door this color! I also painted the trim, and well, the wall was painted in between these shots. I also cleaned and touched up the hardware, and we finally turned our peep-door right side up! I’m not sure if it was ignorance or a prank, but almost all the outlets and such were turned upside down in this apartment… (strange). For the record, because this is a rental I did not paint the exterior of the door, just the interior! Anyway, what do you think? Improvement, no?
