New Curtain Rods

New Curtain Rods

old_vs_newSo, I finally gave in and bought the newer, better, and less expensive curtain rods from IKEA. Damn, these things are awesome, and I’m super bummed we’ve waited so long to buy them. It makes such a huge difference for such a cheap price! The most expensive item from the lot are the finials, at $4.99 a pair…

Let’s remember what the curtains in here used to look like, from my last update:living_spaceSo so sad. Also, you’ll note that  we have added blinds to the left two windows since this photo was taken. I finally found more blinds from the as-is section, and trimmed  them to fit! ($10 and $15, respectively). And Laelia busted the glass in our old temporary coffee table. So, this old LACK table that has been in Laelia’s room has now become our temporary coffee table. I do love the way the color plays with the door, though…

doorUntitled-1What’s funny is, I’ve always wanted my curtains to look as they do now, but up until recently I never could really figure out how! I’ll share more about that in an in depth post about how to hang curtains, specifically with IKEA hardware!
